Ancient Woodland as defined in (S1). For details of history and earthworks see (S1), the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, English Nature, the County Council Countryside Section and various Oliver Rackham works including (S2).
May 2009: Area revised to match wood named as Beeson Grove and shown by Hodskinson in 1783 (bounds and use surviving) (S3).
Includes possible moat HTC 003.
