Full Description
Steering board of a boat trawled up from a bank circa 2 km offshore from Southwold in circa 1982 (very approximate). Dumped on Blyth river bank for upwards of 12 months until built into bungalow in Essex where it was recognized for what it was and taken to National Maritime Museum for stabilisation (though I suppose it was too late for that) and display. Date range ? C10 to C13 (S1).
