Full Description
Lines of posts, various stretches perpendicular. Mix of timbers, mostly rounded, different sizes. Covers stretch of sea wall with extra concrete slabs at base for added defence & where salt marsh eroded away completely. Poss. silt trap/defence mechanism.
Having looked at concrete rubble from shore rather than bank, clear that there's relict bank there - ADB 074. Seems these post structures associated with defence against erosion in area prone to damage - to do with flow/current at sharp bend in river?
