TM 3452 6465: Numerous C13 pottery sherds (3 rims and base retained), found during building operations near the river at Rendham. "At a depth of 6 feet, a line of pointed stakes, 6 inches square, reported by workmen. Also ring of 3 inches diameter round stakes with planks between, the ring being 18 inches in diameter. (See sketch in notebook C3 p 31)". Finds given to IPSMG by Col C F Allen (S1)(S3)(R1)(R2).
`TM 3452 6465: Numerous sherds of pottery mostly 13th/14th century' (S2). Mark on SAU 1:10560 record map is mislocated at TM 3452 6477, on the N side of the road in the environs of two buildings.
Note garden cottage is on S side of road. A house was built in its former orchard in circa 1967 - probably this reference to E of HER grid reference, with buildings, at TM 3455 6462.Another building is shown slightly to N of HER NGR at TM 3454 6468. The discoveries may(?) have been in drains etc, related to this building.
