Full Description
Extensive system of linear field boundaries/trackways visible as soilmarks on SCC digital APs (S1) to E of Med N-S road. At least 2km long. One may be on the line of 'Portway' (as recorded by Reverend Mundy), others on similar alignments (though usually different positions) to existing E-W field boundaries. Note similarity of trackways (when clear on APs, e.g. TL 743 780) to those excavated on nearby RAF Lakenheath (e.g. ERL 120, ERL 089), which are believed to be late prehistoric. Other APs need checking to determine extent of system. Also check Enclosure map.
