Full Description

Evaluation at Lakenheath Hall prior to the determination of a planning application for low density housing revealed some post-medieval pits and ditches sealed, in places, by a thick deposit of silt. The western half of the site was found to be low lying with evidence for now dry ponds which may have influenced the shape of unusual curving boundaries identified during the documentary search (S1).
