Full Description
Archaeological monitoring of groundworks for the construction of a house east of Park Wood, and close to known scatters of Roman material (BRK 043-045), revealed a large single feature. The recorded feature appeared to be a pit and its fill contained a considerable quantity of Roman Ceramic Building Material, mainly tile, some of which exhibited evidence for burning that may indicate some re-use. No other finds or features were recorded during the site monitoring (S1).
