Full Description

Evaluation of development area revealed a small number of pits and ditches containing medieval pottery beneath 1 to 2m of later build-up. Situtated in a low lying area within River Stour floodplain close to, but outside the boundary of the site of medieval priory ( S1). Finds include floor tile with geometric impressed design (email from Sue Anderson to Colin Pendleton of 25/10/2005).
2004: Monitoring of groundworks revealed a small number of medieval/post medievalfeatures and two possibly victorian wells.
