Full Description

Warren shown on Ogilby's map of 1675 (S1). Possibly related to Warren Lodge on Westley/Little Saxham boundary (SXL 016), and to 'The Warren' (at TL810648, Fornham All Saints on map of 1638 and 'Old Warren Wood' at TL 815648 (WLY 007). Also note 'New Warren Wood' to south at TL 813633.
Right of Free Warren was granted for Manor of Luces or Leo's Hall in 1231. In 1558 Little Saxham & Westley were in same ownership (S2).
Extent unknown, HER'd NGR to approximate centre of area only (though Ogilby's map suggests a more westerly location, ie west of Old Warren Wood).
