Full Description
Archaeological monitoring and metal detecting survey was carried out within CDD 003, before construction of a chicken shed and access road. The ground was only disturbed to a maximum depth of 350mm, only exposing subsoil in a small area. The metal detecting survey revealed 18 copper and silver coins of 2nd to 3th century date and Roman pottery, cockerel statuette and lead steelyard weights. (S1)
