Full Description

Watermill said to have ben standing at the beginning of the C17 on the River Gipping, red brick, see details (S1) (S2) (S3)(S4).
Roof may have been repaired during 1993 or later.
"Fine and well-preserved example of typical Suffolk mill: brick ground-floor on bridge over stream, 2 further weather-boarded floors plus attic above. Complete with wheel and plant, but not worked and not open." (from David Alderton's 'Industrial Archaeology in and around Norfolk', booklet, 1980).
13/12/2011; mill unchanged. Lean-to contains oil engine by ER & F Turner, of Ipswich (John Jones).
