Full Description

2005:A small trial trench evaluation was recommended following a Planning Application for the construction of 8 dwellings on land at the edge of the former Ringshall Green. Five small trenches revealed a common stratigraphy of topsoil over boulder clay. No archaeological finds or features were recorded. Given the small size of the evaluation trenches further monitoring of the strip foundations was recommended (S1).
2006: negative monitoring by 3 trenches to 0.25-0.30m (S2).
