Full Description
Three sides of sub-rectangular moat(?) with one small internal building and two other buildings (to N & S) on outer edge of moat(?) shown on OS 1880s map. Open to E (S1).
Moat largely gone by 1900s mapping.
Internal building and part of building on S side survive on present (2007) map though moat no longer shown.
Possible alternative location of Moulton or Stone Hall Manor (also see MUN 013 & MUN 032) - further research needed, especially Tithe map.
Tithe map of 1838 checked - there is definitely no moat shown - the presumed area of moat on the 1880s map is probably showing something other than water (or it was relatively recent).
