Full Description
Monitoring prior to redevelopment exposed at least 3 phases - series of (Medieval?) pits, overlain by layer of packed chalk (PMed), cut by 2 (PMed?) wells & overlain by series of PMed buildings. Details in (S1).
Within bounds of Medieval Newmarket (see NKT 022) and next to sites of PMed palaces of James I (NKT 004) & Charles II (NKT 005).
