Full Description

Evaluation and excavation located a large ditch marking the county boundary in filled in the late medieval or early post-medieval period, Optical Spin Luminescence dating from an early fill gave a tentative date of 615-815 AD but is contradictory to another sample, so the result is dubious, (S1 S2 S3) and also an area of gunflint waste (S1).
