Site of former Middle Green, with houses on either side of north-south street (to Upper Green - see HIG 015), shown on Hodskinson's 1783 map (S1).
Original boundaries & precise date unknown. Still named Middle Green on 1880s & later OS maps. Other earlier maps not checked. Defined on HER approximately after Hodskinson.
