Full Description

'Brick & Tile Works' and 'kiln' named and marked with works, drying sheds and pit on 1927 OS map.
All structures no longer shown on present OS mapping but pit survives (waterfilled).
Note: 'Brick Kiln Farm' shown and named to W on 1880s OS map but no brickworks shown at this location.
For further brickworks in Frostenden see FOS 023.
July 2008: site visit found substantial remains of works survive including earthworks and kiln structure (well preserved), a cast iron handpump and a brick culvert (S1).
