Former road/lane marked on Hodskinsons (1783) and OS maps 1836-1958 leading to stream, Wisnage Farm then Cross Green, Hartest. South end (N of stream) no longer mapped by 1988. N end now physically mapped though shown as bridleway to S on some maps.
Early history unknown though probably Medieval at least.
