Full Description

Circa 1978: (re-?) excavation of site supposedly dug up circa 1918 (& claimed to be linked to search for hidden re-deposited Mildenhall Treasure - see MNL 231 and S1) by John Gadd, Dr Colin Dring and a few members of the Mildenhall Archaeologoical & Natural History Society. Confirmed presence of Post Medieval/Recent pit at this location (though link to 1918 events probably unproven). Observed, and location plotted approximately from memory, by Colin Pendleton. Details (& site archive?) held by John Gadd?
