Full Description

Medieval (?) green. Shown as broadish long strip on Hodskinson's 1783 map (S1) to west of present 'Wyverstone Green' but not identified or named as green by Hodskinson. Present sub-triangular Wyverstone Green mapped on OS 1880s and later maps (other early maps, such as tithe and enclosure maps need checking) and has defining green edge ditches and listed buildings on two (NW and S) of the three sides, though curiously not marked by Hodskinson who seems to have been lax in recording this green accurately.
Recorded on HER map as existing sub triangular green area only (estimating line of eastern boundary!).
