Monument record FML 044 - Framlingham Railway Station; Bibby's & Walne's Seeds Site

Site of former Railway Station at Framlingham at TM 2843 6306, with other buildings (some survive?) and works to south. Part of Wickham Market to Framlingham branch line opened by the East Suffolk Railway on 1st June 1859 and closed on 19 April 1965.
1880s and 1900s maps record a crane at TM 2843 6289.
In 2007 2 granary warehouses, a railway goods shed, two small buildings of unknown use and a heavily altered stable all related to the railway survived. One of these included an ornamental terracotta tile showing a stately building believed to be Heveningham Hall. These buildings were proposed for demolition to be followed by housing development.
