Sept-Dec 2006: monitoring of machine strip led to excavation of large Iron Age enclosure and Med features revealed during the creation of new playing fields (S1). Assessment report in preparation. Details outstanding (S2).

Note further large possible Iron Age ditch found to South East - see IPS 581.
