Full Description

A type 24 hexagonal pillbox, one of a pair with BTM 044 located on either side of a weir to protect the river crossing (S1).

Some 150m downstream of bridge on B1102 road over the River Lark at S edge of Mildenhall. On S bank of river by weir. In garden of no.10, Worlington Road. Type 24 pillbox, of standard construction. Brick shuttering inside and out. Floor 0.5m below ground level. Covered in clematis and used as a garden shed. Embrasures loosely blocked. Entrance faces S (S2).
