St Edmund's Brewery (founded by Frederick William King in 1868) located on Westgate Street in Bury St. Edmunds later (1887) amalgamated with Green's Westgate Brewery (see BSE 268) to become Green King (S1).
On 1880's (and later) OS maps (S2).
Also significant Palaeolithic site.
