Full Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out on land at the Lakenheath Playing Fields on the 25th August 2009, in advance of the construction of a new sports pavilion, associated car parking and a below ground heating system. Two trenches were excavated, Trench 2 was devoid of archaeology, Trench 1 contained three intercutting post-medieval ditches and a modern pit (S1).
