Full Description
One portion of base and three body sherds, also one sherd with grooved curvilinear markings. (S1). Site marked on SAU record card at TM 3330 5352.
The findspot is very close to the area called Hoo Hill Piece where Bruce Mitford and Basil Brown dug trial trenches in 1949 in an effort to locate the Sax cemetery thought to be in the Hoo Hill area. It is possible that this pottery is Saxon (S2).
