Full Description

A watching brief was undertaken on groundworks associated with the restoration of Christchurch Park. The remains of a probable air raid shelter were encountered, comprising a stairway running east away from the Mansion to a depth of at least 1.6m, and the remains of a separate room of similar construction which had been collapsed inwards (S1).
