Possible deer park suggested by the names of Park Field and Park Wood, recorded in tithe map of 1839 of Little Waldingfield. Park Wood also former Ancient Woodland on Hodskinson's 1783 and OS 1880s OS maps, now cleared.

Full Description

Possible deer park suggested by the names of Park Field and Park Wood, recorded in tithe map of 1839 of Little Waldingfield. Park field is marked as no. 185 on map and apportionment, Park Wood as no. 113.
Rosemary Hoppitt (S2) notes a deer park is recorded in the calendar of Patent Rolls for 1324-27, p. 230 (For 1325) at Waldingfield. Park Field adjoins Park Wood (exact boundaries need checking against tithe map). Boundary of complete deer park is unknown.
Note square enclosure/moat (WFL 003) in interior- possibly hunting lodge site?
