Full Description

Pottery found at building site next to Hepworth School playground by Mr W Bloomfield, Council House, Hepworth, 12th May 1962.
"Mediaeval sherds, one glazed, strap handle, etc. circa 13th - 14th century sagging bases. The sherds are interesting and the glazed one has fine glaze which resembles some found at the old village site at Thelnetham (near Cross Green) and some found at Coney Weston by a schoolboy Barry Orves" (S1).
