Full Description
Trenches seen when fully excavated. Trenches set within a total area of approximately 4x5m. Measured 0.8m wide and up to 1.3m deep. This showed a 0.2m thick topsoil overlying buried topsoils, 0.9m thick, of mid brown/grey loam. This in turn overlaid a deposit of fairly dry black peat, 0.2m thick, which rested upon the pale yellow sand subsoil.
No finds or features seen. Details in (S1).
