Full Description

Evaluation trenching revealed an area of modern pitting plus unstratified sherds of Roman period pottery. Subsequent monitoring of ground works confirmed that the site did contain evidence of later Iron Age and earlier Roman settlement type activity with three ditches and one pit containing sherds of pottery including Samian ware (S1).
