Full Description

A tented encampment sprouted around New Farm during WWI in order to accommodate soldiers on Lord Iveagh's estate at the time (S1), where tank and battle training was occuring in 1916 (see WSW Misc - MSF25429).
Precise location unknown but note Wordwell Camp, a hutted compound (used as a labour camp in 1930s) to S of New Farm - see WRW 032.
