Full Description
Evaluation trenching of a proposed extension to the graveyard for St Marys Church revealed a single pit which did not contain any finds and whose irregular base suggests an origin as a tree root hole. A metal detector search and visual scan of the upcast spoil recovered one small pottery sherd of probable Roman date and metal finds of 19th century or later date (S1).
