Full Description

A Cold War ROC Post - underground bunker. Date opened 1964. Date closed October 1968. Demolished, no trace of anything remains (S1). On South side of footpath. 300 yards South West of Church hall on Poplar Hill.

Magnetometry survey revealed few anomalies of potential archaeological interest. The known location of a Cold War Royal Observer Corps post was probably identified within the survey, suggesting structural aspects of this may remain in-situ. Other weak magnetic anomalies included linear anomaly which may correspond with a former field system (S2)
