Monument record CLA 068 - Land to rear of 18 High Street, Clare

An archaeological monitoring, carried out on land to the rear of 18 High Street, Clare during residential development, identified an undated former boundary ditch which is thought to have defined a property boundary to the rear of the post-medieval street frontage and may have earlier medieval origins, together with three large pits of post-medieval date that were probably rubbish pit within the yards to the rear of the extant 15th/16th century buildings (S1).
