Full Description

2006: Evaluation across 5 sites were carried out. At this site, Area A, a pit containing prehistoric flint, post-medieval brick and burnt bone was discovered (S1).

2007: This area was subsequently excavated and a pit, gully and hearth were located, along with late Neolithic and early Bronze Age pottery, post-medieval tile and struck flint. A low-level of prehistoric activity can be inferred from the evidence recorded during the evaluation and excavation, however it appears that features have been truncated by post-medieval agricultural activity (S2, S3 , S4).
