Full Description
Recorded in gazetteer of significant Industrial Archaeological sites extracted from a 1980 booklet entitled 'Industrial Archaeology in and around Norfolk' and revised as 'Suffolk IA Sites in 1980' in Suffolk Industrial Archaeological Society Newsletter in 2011 where it is described as "Thingoe Maltings, off Fornham Road (TL 852653). Fine late 19th C maltings in two parallel ranges by railway. Still used for floor malting (S1). John Jones adds: Maltings demolished and replaced by housing. Visited by SIAS March 1982 while still in operation." (S1).
Now demolished for housing.
