Summary
The site of a previously recorded Second World War pillbox. However reassessment of the Google Earth imagery cited indicates that this ‘pillbox’ is a surviving water tower constructed in the late 1950s or early 1960s, presumably associated with the Cold War site at Barnham Camp, see BNH 054 for details.

Full Description
Type 23 pillboxes guarding FAD Barnham. Spotted on Google Earth.
January 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
No sign of Second World War pillbox is visible in the 1940s at this location (S2). The Google Earth imagery cited above (S1) clearly indicate that this ‘pillbox’ is a surviving water tower constructed in the late 1950s or early 1960s (S3), presumably associated with the Cold War site at Barnham Camp, see BNH 054 for details.
