Summary

An observation post overlooking the Southwold Road (B1123). It was connected by field telephone - traces of wire can still be found. The hurricane of 1987 brought down 115 trees in Mill House grounds. The lookout post had to be destroyed to allow the contractors' tractors onto the site.

Full Description

In the grounds of Mill House, Southwold Road, Holton. An observation post overlooking the Southwold Road (B1123). It was connected by field telephone - traces of wire can still be found.

The hurricane of 1987 brought down 115 trees in Mill House grounds. The lookout post had to be destroyed to allow the contractors' tractors onto the site (S1).
