Full Description

Eighteen evaluation trenches were excavated, revealing two medieval ditches in the southern part of the site, three ponds of possible medieval date in the central area, and four parallel ditches in the NE part which closely approximate Roman ditches excavated in the adjacent area. The evaluation also revealed two ditches, which represent a continuation of the Late Bronze Age/early Iron Age activity recorded in the adjacent area (S1).
