Full Description
Within loop of river, E of Friar's Meadow. Hexagonal pillbox plotted from OS 1:2500 sheet, no sign of structure visible from river bank and likely to be hidden by dense vegetation. Part of defence works associated with the Colne - Mildenhall stopline (S1). This is a typical Corps Line pillbox amd is described as a modified Type 27, with shell-proof walls and a central well for mounting a machine gun (S2).
