Full Description

19th C brick coaching inn with a substantial cellar. In the 1880's a new wing was added to the rear of the inn, replacing an earlier service range. Few historic features or fittings remain although the 19th C exterior is largely unspoilt (S1).

A puddingstone boulder has sat outside the Plumbers Arms since c.1980-1990 and may have been there longer. It has been assumed to be a boundary or settlement marking stone. The stone was removed for a period of time between the 1950s until the 1980s (S2)
