Full Description
Great Green, Cockfield. Formerly Broad Green (S1), named Great Green by 1837 OS mapping. Large triangular green in good condition - several Listed Buildings around edges and some green edge ditch survival on NW, N and SE sides. Hodskinson (S1) mapping shows the grren as tailing off towards the E along Felsham Road but extending further than at present (to the parish boundary). It is not clear how accurate his mapping was in this instance.
HBSMR mapping after (S1) and OS 1880s mapping.
