Full Description
Area of partially surviving historic landscape. Acreware land, suggesting early tenure of farmland (in this case suggested to be Saxon) including 'sackage' land - (giving grazing rights) and 'campo' names. Defined by local historian Vera Lloyd using various early maps, field names and other documents (her map is held in large hanging cabinet) (S1).
Most internal field boundaries have now gone.
Includes windmill site/ringditch COK 018.
