Full Description
East Wood (site of). Former large ancient woodland. Now gone - arable field/s.
Mapped after (S1).
Arable by 1880s OS mapping. Recorded (S1 - on tithe?) with fields named Upper Eastwood (to E); Middle Eastwood; 90 Arce Wood (to NW) and Lower Eastwood (to SW). Some of these field boundaries survive as does a significant proportion of the former outer wood boundary.
