Full Description

An archaeological monitoring was carried out on the Pro-Flat site, at Eastern Way, in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. This revealed an undated pit, a boundary wall which is thought to be post-medieval and terracing of the site. The terracing is possibly medieval or post-medieval, relating to the site's use as gardens. However it may also relate to more recent groundworks such as the construction of the railway or the A14. No finds were recovered (S1).
