Full Description
World War II Air Raid Shelter, presumably connected to construction/use of 2nd WW airfield (not HERd yet).
Feb 2013: rapid site visit (EM & CP) - modern post & wire fenced enclosure surrounding concrete steps leading down to shelter - not examined internally. Said to be air-raid shelter by Paul Dickinson of Elveden Estate.
Note: its position well to the E of the airfield possibly suggests more localised presence of personnel, presumably related to other activities/structures in the vicinity during the period.
