Full Description
This church is in the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, the archdeaconry of Sudbury and the deanery of Mildenhall (S1).
It was designed by J D Wyatt in 1876. It is a flint church in a pseudo Early English style with red brick and stone dressings. The interior is red brick with red and white decorative patterns now covered with whitewash. The chancel arch is red and white and boldly dressed; it is supported on corbel heads which depict a bishop and a queen. The nave has four bays with transepts and is buttressed. At the W gable is a timber bellcote and a fleche. Framing the entrance is a lychgate, a simplified version of those recommended by "The Ecclesiologist" (S2).
