Full Description

Civil Defence Pillar constructed of brick and concrete. The structure has lost its doors. There is a board fixed to the rear, inside wall, probably where telecommunications equipment would have been attached. The structure was designed to be a back up air-raid siren system which could have been operated in the event that the Civil Defence Centre has been disabled (S1).
