Full Description

Leiston, land to the rear of No 31 High Street (LCS 173, TM 4454 6258) monitoring of ground works for a small scale residential development at a site formerly used for various workshops to the east of the High Street, and close to the former site of the Leiston Works, recorded extensive evidence for 19th and earlier 20th century ground disturbance though earlier subsoil deposits showed little sign of pre-19th century activity (S1).
